A gentle guide to taping your chest
Our Shaping Tape is a flexible, skin-friendly option for people who want a flatter chest or a more contoured silhouette without wearing a traditional binder. Designed to move with your body, it features light stretch and is made to feel comfortable during everyday wear. The tape is breathable, water-resistant, and made with materials intended to be gentle on the skin.
Below is a step-by-step guide to help you apply Shaping Tape with ease.
Start with a patch test
Before applying the tape to a larger area, we strongly recommend doing a patch test to see how your skin responds.
-
Cut a small piece of tape
-
Apply it to clean, dry skin
-
Leave it on for 24–48 hours
-
Remove and check the area for any signs of redness, itching, or irritation
If you notice any discomfort or irritation at any point, remove the tape and discontinue use.
Chest shaping with Shaping Tape
1. Prepare your skin
Clean the area where the tape will be applied and ensure the skin is completely dry. Skin should be free from lotions, oils, hair, or residue to help the tape adhere smoothly.
2. Protect the nipple area
Before applying the tape, cover the nipple area using nipple covers, soft tissue, or medical gauze. This can help reduce friction and improve comfort during wear.
3. Cut your tape
Most people use around three strips per side with regular tape. If using XL tape, one to two strips may be sufficient. Rounding the corners of each strip can help reduce lifting at the edges.
4. Apply the first strip
Gently place the first strip over the covered nipple area. Press and rub lightly to help the adhesive stick. Avoid overstretching the tape during application.
5. Shape gradually
Using one hand, gently guide the tissue upward and outward toward the underarm area. With the other hand, apply the tape to help hold the desired shape in place.
Additional strips may be used for added support, depending on personal preference. Repeat the same process on the other side.
6. Keep tension light
Only minimal tension is needed. Applying the tape too tightly may cause discomfort. If you experience pain, pressure, or difficulty breathing, remove the tape immediately and reapply with less tension.

Important use guidance
Do not wrap the tape all the way around your torso.
Shaping Tape should always be applied in individual strips and never fully encircle the chest. Applying tape in a full wrap may cause discomfort or restrict movement.
