To help you get started with your new skin adhesive and remover, we’ve gathered some important information and tips, so you can use these products in a comfortable and responsible way when wearing prostheses.

Instructions

Before applying the skin adhesive, make sure the skin is clean, dry, and free from hair, oils, or lotions. We recommend performing a small patch test on the skin before first use to check for sensitivity or allergic reactions.

Shake the bottle thoroughly before use. Use a small brush to apply the adhesive. Apply a thin, even layer of adhesive to the application tab of your prosthesis. Allow the adhesive to partially dry until it becomes tacky, then carefully place the prosthesis onto the desired area of the skin. Apply gentle, even pressure and allow time for the adhesive to set.

To remove the prosthesis, apply a skin-safe adhesive remover to a towel or cotton pad. Gently rub along the edges of the prosthetic to loosen the adhesive. Then use a cotton swab dipped in remover to carefully dissolve any remaining adhesive residue on the skin or prosthesis until it is fully removed.

Use

Limit continuous wear of adhesive-applied prostheses to a maximum of 8 hours per day, to allow the skin time to rest and recover. If you notice redness, irritation, discomfort, or any other skin reaction during or after use, remove the prosthesis and adhesive immediately and discontinue use until the skin has fully recovered.

For additional security during movement, we recommend using adhesive in combination with a supportive harness or garment. This can help reduce strain on the skin and lower the risk of the prosthesis shifting or detaching during daily activities.

Storage

Store the skin adhesive and adhesive remover in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Ensure bottles are tightly closed when not in use.
